Kristen resides in Northern Virginia and is happily married with a blended family of 5 children! Kristen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with a minor in Psychology as well as her Master’s Degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. In her former life she was a high school Biology teacher at Oakton High School in Vienna, VA as well as the owner of a small private school for children in Haymarket, VA. She now uses her teaching skills and background to teach the “lesson of love”. Kristen began her matchmaking career at the ripe old age of 16 when she successfully played matchmaker for her own father introducing him to her current Stepmother over 20 years ago! That successful relationship was the first of many as Kristen cultivated her intuitive gift of reading people and bringing compatible people together with many of her friends and family members. She is currently a monthly contributor with Northern Virginia Magazine as a Matchmaking expert and continues to be incredibly successful assisting people find and keep love in their lives through her work as Executive Director of Matchmaking with Master Matchmakers!

Steven and Joann’s rules are bold, insightful, and often hilarious but most of all they offer an unapologetic glance into the male mind. The core of the series is Steven and Joann revealing the truth about what men really think when it comes to dating and women.

What is the difference between a matchmaker and a dating service?

The primary difference between a matchmaking service and dating service is the relationship between the client and the service provider. At Master Matchmakers® we carefully qualify every member and client. We dedicate a member of our staff to each person who hires us and collaborate internally to be sure our whole team is familiar with our clients. We do not accept everyone that contacts us, unlike dating services that enroll as many people as possible and leave it up to their customer to make it work. We work personally and closely with our clients to make sure they meet singles that meet their criteria or at least steer them on the path to finding what they’re looking for. Our methods are tried and true, efficient and effective.
